Jodo India Social Foundation

Late in 2017, we were inspired with the thought of providing comfort and dignity to underprivileged schoolgirls during their menstruation cycle.

From this was born the concept of 2-Fold Mission: that of providing reusable cloth sanitary pads to underprivileged schoolgirls in Rural India and to inspire them to plant and nurture trees. To share with them clear and scientifically-proven myth-busting evidence on menstruation.

Jodo India Social Foundation is the outcome of this and was formed on 1st March 2018, as a Section 8 Company of the Companies Act 1956 in Pune, Maharashtra.

Why Jodo India?

Women in India play multiple roles – that of a daughter, wife, housewife and of course, a mother. They are wage earners, mediators and keepers of the peace. Our nation is what it is largely because of the vital contributions of our female population specially across the lower and middle income groups. It is not surprising that most successful men attribute their success to the development, upbringing, love and support given to them by their mother.

Jodo in Hindi means to bring together. Jodo India Social Foundation wishes to unite our Nation by adding comfort and dignity to the underprivileged Girl Child.

This is a celebration of girlhood and respect for what every girl goes through to perpetuate the human race despite the numerous obstacles placed before her.
